QUESTION: Why do we need DealerPage when Autotrader and Exchange & Mart are so commonly used . . . |
|
ANSWER: Because DealerPage finds the buyers that do not use AutoTrader or Exchange & Mart! The Internet accounts for over half of all vehicle sales and they come from two main sources - database searches from AutoTrader (and to a lesser degree the Exchange & Mart), and from website searches via the big name search engines which supply the vast majority of website traffic. Most car buyers use search engines such as Yahoo, Google & Lycos, to find new or used car dealers, dealerships and garages, and with DealerPage then able to give one click access to your website nothing could be easier or more productive. These are additional buyers that up to now you have probably been missing. |

| QUESTION: What exactly are Search Engines . . . |
|
ANSWER: From your point of view search
engines are the most important part of the Internet. They are huge
catalogues of websites and responsible for the vast majority of website
traffic. Eight out of every ten website visits
come through search engines. Users enter 'key words, or requests' relating to their search, and the search engines return pages of links to appropriate websites. With so many Car Dealers websites now in existence any website must be in the 'leading edge' of those returns for it to be seen, but of course very few can be. If your website is not accessible from a high profile position from the most popular searches, your internet marketing is at best running at 50% efficiency, and probably a lot less. A DealerPage subscription will ensure your website is highly accessible amongst those leading sites, almost overnight. |

| QUESTION: Isn't it good that buyers can search for the exact make and model they want on AutoTrader? |
| ANSWER: Yes of course, although actual sales closures coming from database search visitors are considerably less than from those viewing dealers websites and seeing other vehicles that might be considered. Database search sites also tend to be 'price orientated', with most prospects looking no further than the lower priced vehicles which are shown first. It is essential therefore that database search and generic website search are part of your Internet marketing plan if you wish to maximise sales. |

| QUESTION: We already have a website which is part of our AutoTrader package and are quite happy with that. How can Dealerpage help us . . . |
|
ANSWER: DealerPage can link instantly to your Autotrader website and is guaranteed to vastly increase your website traffic. The website which comes as part of your Autotrader package is one of hundreds of thousands of websites most of which are not prime listed by the search engines, and relies mainly on its address being seen in your print media advertisements, or from Autotrader itself to gain visitors. It can however be easily found via DealerPage - nothing needs to be altered on your Autotrader site. |

|
ANSWER: The sites you will visit are controlled by third parties, not DealerPage. We will say however, that the public are very educated when it comes to buying cars.
